The naturally sweet, earthy flavor of our Coconut Crystals is an ideal sweetener for use in cookies, muffins, confections, over cereals, in teas and all your favorite dessert recipes. Coconut Crystals can be used in a 1:1 ratio to replace cane sugar in any recipe. The end result may have a rich authentic light brown sugar flavor.
When the coconut tree is tapped, it produces a naturally sweet, nutrient-rich "sap" that exudes from the coconut blossoms. This sap is very low glycemic and contains 17 amino acids, minerals, vitamin C, broad-spectrum B vitamins, and has a nearly neutral pH.
Small batches ensure that our Coconut Crystals, made from this natural sap, is a raw, enzymatically alive product, low temperature evaporated (to remove excess moisture and allow for crystalization). Most brown cane sugar is boiled at temperatures up to 221 degrees and is not a true brown sugar because molasses is added back in after it is refined.
Manufacturing Facility Information
Manufactured in a dedicated allergen-free facility: free of corn, egg, fish, milk, peanut, potato, rice, soy, wheat and yeast. Facility only manufactures Coconut Secret's coconut crystals and coconut flour products.
Gluten tests to less than 10 ppm (ideal for celiacs and those with gluten intolerance/sensitivity). Coconuts are grown on cooperative famrs in the Philippines which are dedicated to that single item. Final packaing is done in the USA. The coconut crystals are hand-packed in a certified clean room and no other items are processed or packaged in the facility.
